A few years ago I was asked to #design an agenda for a conference with an absurdly long name: Aqua Foundation for Women’s L.B.T. Emerging Leaders Conference. catches breath

After some time messing around with symbols and acronyms, I found myself accidentally laying out what appeared to be a word search and BAM! This was the finished piece. A happy little accident as Bob Ross would say.

As a #nonprofit, the Foundation didn’t really have a budget for fancy swag or giveaways but this simple #creativesolution delighted just about every attendee. Sometimes it’s less about what you gift and more about how you frame it.

Here’s is a bit of my recent work for Cash App. While the brand does have a public-facing swag store (Cash by Cash App), they pride themselves in being able to offer their team exclusive pieces, internally.

Each quarter, employees are given exclusive access to a carefully curated limited edition drop, made available for just about two weeks at a time.

Came across these Tinder “Matches” I mocked up nearly 10 years ago… 😂 For me, the lines between work and play have always been a bit blurred. These were made just for fun but are not all that different from the #Ideation / #strategy work I do all these years later.

As more companies continue to digitize their #storytelling efforts, cutting through the noise is important! Finding products to bring your campaigns to the physical world is a great way to stand out.

Each year, I help the team at Pinterest curate gifts with a focus on self care and nourishment.

Pictured here are some of my favorite pieces!

I’m happy to share that I’ve been named the Advertising Specialty Institute’s (ASI) Up-and-Comer Salesperson of the Year! Founded in 1950, #ASI connects promo product suppliers and distributors through its robust network.

It’s a true honor but I must admit I’ve never considered myself a salesperson per se. I’m a creative advisor my clients can rely on (as was the case with most salespeople prior to the advent of the Internet). We were viewed as educators then and when we form strong partnerships, respected as guides today.

So much of my success relies on good storytelling too! Clients and suppliers, alike, rely on me to help tell their stories. Whether that is of a supplier (like Denik) whose journal proceeds benefit schools around the globe or Handshake, who honors college recruiters using their platform to launch careers.

Many of my friends think I just sell pens and mugs and while I do sell those things (and more), I care deeply about every stakeholder involved in all projects and feel an immense responsibility as a participant in our industry. I believe this sentiment has led me to form strong partnerships with some pretty cool brands. Also, here’s a photo of me with a bunch of mugs…

If you’re in NYC this week, swing by the newly renovated Tiffany & Co. flagship on 5th Avenue! Brilliant had the honor of producing these passport booklets to help guide visitors to the iconic landmark.

The store was re-imagined by OMA, by the way. They also designed the Park Grove towers here in Miami which I am very fond of. Congrats to their team!

Check out the sick plaid shirts Brilliant produced for the team at PlaidThe garment features a hidden Easter egg message under the collar, a treatment I had been obsessing over for some time.

I’m grateful to this client for allowing me the opportunity to make it happen.

Sometimes I look to my past for a little inspiration… I came across this photo of me coloring and decided to bring the shirt back.
